Kusuma Sarovara Peaceful Place Near Mathura

Kusuma Sarovara is a 25 minutes walk from Radha Kunda. After going to Radha Kunda one can spend a relaxing hour here. It is a peaceful place, which not many people visit. Kusuma Sarovara is 460 feet long and the platforms go out 60 feet into the water. Kusuma means “flower,” and here the gopis would pick flowers for Krishna. Kusuma Sarovara is the best swimming spot in Braja.

Sati Burj Beautiful Place Mathura

Krishna Balarama Mandir Beautiful Temples Near Mathura

This temple is built by the International Society for Shri Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), it is one of the most beautiful temples in Vrindavan. This beautiful marble temple was constructed twenty years ago. The principal deities of this temple are Krishna, his brother Balram and Radha (Krishna’s consort). In front of the temple is the Samadhi Mandir of Srila Prabhupada. This is where his body was laid to rest after he passed away in 1977. His house has been turned into a museum. There is also a guesthouse, restaurant, gurukula and goshalla.

Govardhan Heritage Place Near Mathura

Govardhan is situated 26 km west of Mathura on the state highway to Deeg. A famous place of Hindu pilgrimage, Govardhan is located on a narrow sandstone hill known as Giriraj which is about 8 km in length. Pilgrims go barefoot around this hill for prayers. It is said that young krishna held giriraj up on the fingertip on one leg for seven days and seven nights to shield the people of Braj from the deluge of rain sent down by Lord Indra. Next to Govardhan lies the Mansi Ganga, a tank built by Raja Bhagwan Das of Amber in 1637.temples of Haridev and the Kusum sarovar (lake) are next to it, besides which are the chhatris or cenotaphs of the kings of Bharatpur. Chhatri of Raja Surajmal is worth seeing.

Gokul Heritage Place Near Mathura
